Thailand is a democratic Kingdom. The king rules the country through three institutions : the Government, the House of Representatives, and the Court of Justice.

Thailand is an independent country. Our government has full power all over the country. We have strong armed forces: the Royal Thai Army, the Royal Thai Navy, the Royal Thai Air force, and the Thai Police Force.

Thai Flag

Thai Flag

We are proud of our country.
The Thai flag is the symbol of our country. It has three colors: red, white and blue.
Red is for nation, white for the religions, and blue for the king.

Every time we see our flag up or down we stand up to pay respect. We pay respect for the red, the white and the blue.
The red is the blood of our ancestors. There are few of our brave ancestors: King Naresuan, King Tak Sin, King Rama the First, the people of Bangrachan Camp and Lady Suranaree of Korat.

The white in our flag is for our religions. Buddhism is our state religion. But there are also other religions in Thailand such as Christianity and Islam. On religious day Buddhists go to WAT(Temple), Christians go to church and Moslems go to mosque.

The King

The blue in our flag is for our King. The King is the head of our country. King Bhumibol is the head of the Kingdom of Thailand.  He is the center of admiration from the people from all walks of life. His whole life is for his people. He and the Queen visit every inch of the country, at sea or on mountains, to meet his beloved people , teach them and help them. I proud of my King and Queen.

Long live our King and Queen.
The King
